It's difficult to be true to yourself all the time..
So maybe that is why there are many faces to a person..
Which makes it difficult to understand somebody..
And perhaps more difficult to comprehend oneself sometimes..

Not something in particular. Just that I felt that in Uni, sometimes, we can't do things according to what we want. It's all a question of EQ. It's like there was a junior that pisses me off sometimes, cause he doesn't know how to respect seniors and basically everyone in general. He totally pissed my friend off the other day. But the next morning when the very same person said hi to me, I still smiled and just said hi back. Yes, it's a reflex action to smile and say hi when a person says hi. But I felt so fake after that. And there are many other incidents. Things that you don't want to do but have to be gracious and act as if nothing is wrong.

It gets pretty tiring at times.
It's difficult to be who you want to be, when there's so much politically correct things that you have to do.

I hate growing up! It's too complicated!

hey! got this urge to blog abt what happened today..yah, so i'm here. Haiz...i just got back last week's lab reports... was disappointed with myself... made a careless mistake! and it's more like hua she tian zu... haiz. and after the lab, i was walking out to the bus stop with my friend and we were sort of commenting on the lab and TAs.. And guess what? Haha, with ur intelligence, u should have surmised that sth happened.. my friend saw one TA walking behind us! like right behind us? at that point, we are like so paiseh lah.. though i think we didn't really say anything terribly bad about the TA but u know lah..won't be praising them too...haiz. dunno how lor.. if u all are caught in such a situation, what would u do? maybe can tell me?? haiz..and i have many things to do..it's piling up...=( Ok, hope that i can come up with some insights for my assignments and understand physio concepts...jia you!!

Just to update you all about my life I guess.
Hehe (: Getting crappy liao..
Basically life's being very hectic.
Haiz.. I was expecting this semster to be very slack.
But then it's quite heavy.
All the projects and everything.
Then hall is having inter-hall games now.
So yah.. so have been eating certain matches after lessons.
Yesterday slept at 4am. Cause came back late after work session.
Having a concert next week. Then I'm in the organizing comm.
So we spent a few hours putting up the banner yesterday.
But then arh.. It came down today already.
Damn sianz!
Cause the winds have been pretty strong this few days.
They say it's like being on Genting.. Haha (:

In NUS, they plot a bell shape curve to decide ur grade.
So even getting 80 marks doesn't guarantee a A.
It depends on your cohort.. Which is totally yucky!
But we still have to work hard regardless of whether there are some "idiots" who spoil the market by scoring full marks.. Haha(:
Guess we must work harder to be one of those "idiots".

pai seh, vivan. i only have time to update about my attachment!

My ward is kinda of lively becoz of the colors and aircon (B class)
but some of the patients can't talk. Hospital is a fast paced environment.
Even my sup (s u p e r v i s o r) said even when walking in corridors,
mus pretend to walk very fast.

By right, year one can only observe but my sup risks her life
to let me hav hands on!! super cool. She always suddenly test
me, like askin me to speak teochew to a auntie and lifted
their arms to assess their movement. i also dunno how
to assess. There's another auntie who was so heavy that my
sup needed my help. i had to go to another side of the chair
but the whole passage way was blocked. I could not cross over
at the bed as there might be body fluids.

guess wat i did?

i went for shower assessment.. watching the poor man bath
for an hr. damn he never wiped himself dry den quickly wipe
up his lower part.. ( he so pai seh, 2 big ladies watchin him bath!)
I also witness the ward round.. got rehab doc, dietician, pt, speech
therapist, medical social worker and nurse go around saying
if they hav rehab potential.. then they said the man who shower
got great potential, while stocks last! yep yep.

kk, gtg.. take care of yourself. dun get too stressed up k?

Anyway, haha if any of you doesn't know, I am actually thinking of transferring to either nus or ntu coz i find myself hard to adapt to smu's life where most ppl are much more outspoken than me! but after hearing comments from other ppl doing the same course in nus and ntu, i kinda realise that everywhere is also the same... all of us seem to have quite a hard time adapting to uni life.. so err..i feel that i'm lost in nowhere! shld i just stop fantasizing that i can have a better life somewhere else? just face up to reality!! hahaa.. or maybe it's juz stupid modules that i'm doing now..no choice..what creative thinking..i'm not creative at all! i'm a super bookworm kind..where will have gd creativity?? then there's this analytical skills module..it's totally crazy..worse than doing compre! muz identify the main argument, sub-conclusions..then evaluate if it's valid or sound.. wa sometimes u read and read also dun understand..
i think uni life is so much more independent..u have to find yr own notes, do your own practice, find your own curricular activities..i miss having a class! miss hanging out with close friends..miss the school activities..

Thanks for sharing what you learn KS. I think I learnt that in Psycho. Although can't really rmb coz I missed one of the lecture. Hehe(: Should be able to learn about that when I do Development Psycho in the coming sems. Then we can have discussion k? (:

KS: Anyway don't be too discouraged! Just work harder and tried your best. Work for yourself and not for your teacher. 对得起自己就好了! Jiayou!!

that's is their reflexes in early life!

u noe y are u right or left handed other than u are left or right brained?
when you are in the womb, if you suck your right thumb.. that would become your dominant
hand. wahaha. another use of sucking is to help them in the breathing mechanism de!
interesting rite? that's what i'm learning in lifespan lifestyle development. loves this module! mayb i can teach you all how to handle kids next time.

anw my clinical attachments will be starting soon, next week. was scared to death when they said absence without reason or if the patient comes into harm in your care, that's IMMEDIATE failure. many criterias ( marking standards). let's say interacting with patients, mus show your supervisor that you are interacting.. if not when she's back.. jus now the client told me her dog jus bit someone.. bha bha bha.. and hav to get along with the staff. mus purposely do it in front of them.

yep i was also scolded by my anat lecturer last week cuz i was sitting in the same unfortunate place. dexter told me, no one ever sit there except me. she said i did not look at her and " NO WONDER YOU NEVER DID WELL IN YOUR ANATOMY!!" in front of the class. so humilating and hurt too. it's not like i never did well k?! and i tried so hard 4 this module. i knew it was 4 my own good and it realli woke me up. but it's too harsh and destroyed the image i held so highly 4 her.. hai.
